Foaming on transmission dipstick

WebFeb 25, 2006 · Discussion Starter · #1 · Feb 22, 2006 After changing oil in AT to Mobil ATF (Dexron III) there are bubbles (big - more then 1 mm and small - less then 1 mm) on the dipstick. Amount of bubbles is significant to note it. 1-2 and 2-3 gear switching are more jerky now. Fluid's level is proper. WebJun 26, 2024 · Nothing on the dipstick. Add a 2nd quart, and still nothing on the dipstick. Add a 3rd quart, and now there's a little fluid on the dipstick, maybe 3/4 from the end. Add a 4th quart, and bubbles (or foam) galore! I'm checking all these steps while the car is running and at temp. I am stumped.
